Infiniti Releases Official Pricing and Specs for the 2013 JX

Over the last couple of months, we've released select details about the all-new Infiniti crossover, the 2013 Infiniti JX. At the Los Angeles Auto Show in November, the Japanese automaker finally released all of the official details about the exciting new seven-passenger luxury vehicle, promising to "shake up the status quo" of the crossover in America.

Infiniti spent a lot of time creating the JX, and there are so many interesting details to share with you, it's hard to know where to begin. But, let's start with the power behind the JX. The 3.5-liter V6 engine pumps out 265 ponies of power and is mated to a continuously variable transmission (CVT). The CVT is paired with electronic controls to adjust performance in four driving modes (normal, eco, sport and snow). All-wheel drive is optional, but it comes standard with four-wheel disc brakes on the 18-inch wheels. You can, however, get 20-inch wheels too, if you want them.

Moving on to the plush leather interior... It's quite spacious, with room enough for seven passengers split up among three rows of seats. Infiniti even lengthened the rear doors so that passengers can access the third row of seats without needing to tilt the second row forward. The middle row of seats slides on rails for flexible amounts of leg room. With the second and third rows stowed away, the JX boasts best-in-class cargo space.

Infiniti spent a lot of time developing fun new technology for the JX, too. Shoppers will get to choose between five different packages, including the premium package with navigation, an AroundView monitor and a 13-speaker Bose system. The driver assistance package adds a backup collision intervention system, intelligent cruise control, blind-spot warning and a heated steering wheel. The theater package bundles dual 7-inch color monitors, two wireless headphones and a 120-volt power outlet. Some of the other options available in the Infiniti JX are a panoramic glass roof and three-zone climate control system.

You're ready to take one for a spin now, aren't you? Well, you'll have to wait until early spring to see one at Charles Barker Infiniti, Charles Barker Infiniti - 1875 Laskin Road Virginia Beach, Virginia.
