Infiniti currently offers three top selling bigger vehicles - the Infiniti EX and Infiniti FX crossovers, along with the powerful Infiniti QX 7-seater SUV. But an all new model is going to take over for the SUV segment - the JX concept.
Available soon to Infiniti dealerships across the country, including Charles Barker Infiniti in Virginia Beach, Virginia, the JX will be formally unveiled at this year's Los Angeles Auto Show in November. The new JX will be powered by a V6 engine ranging from 3.5 liters to 3.7 liters. To improve the vehicle's fuel economy, the JX will get a CVT (continuously variable transmission).
The new JX will offer advanced safety technology. Infiniti recently explained that the automaker "has developed a number of driver assistance technologies in its current models. For the JX, the company says it will offer blind-spot detection along with a new backup collision prevention system. When this system detects cross traffic behind the JX, it warns the driver and can even automatically hit the brakes."1
The JX is slated to be on sale in the spring of next year, as a 2013 model.
